Heavy workloads, low pay compared to other provider enrollment jobs. Would be great if they gave hight meritt increases based on your individual performance and not across the board percentages.

Peer Educator (Former Employee), Caribbean HouseJanuary 17, 2014
Pros: the direct education and access to testing support.
Cons: too many people do not return for their results, and if hiv + non access to treatment
what I have learned from management , is importance of patient/clients , support , privacy and confidentiality .
Assigned duties , conducted workshops ,support groups , community outreach programs .
my most enjoyable part of the job was to educate individuals in groups and individuals section's

the hardest part of the Job is to give a person or persons – more... a positive + HIV, test – less

Payroll Manager (Former Employee), Rocky Mount, NCJanuary 10, 2014
I stayed very busy as I was the Payroll Manager and processed payroll each week for 1/2 of the companies and the next week for the other 1/2 of the companies. Co-workers were like family. I especially enjoyed the interaction with employees who worked outside of the corporate office, making sure each and everyone was paid timely and correctly.

Nurse Educator (Former Employee), Tulsa, OklahomaSeptember 9, 2013
Pros: utilized creative ideas i had, relaxed atmosphere.
Cons: not as good office space
Typical day involved planning for projects, meetings, presentations. I learned a lot about educating 55+ community. Co-workers are excellent to work with. Hardest part of job was brainstorming for ideas. Most enjoyable part of job was the challenge of leaning new things daily.

Interesting experience
Clinical experience (Former Employee), White Plains, NYApril 17, 2013
One of my clinical experience was at Visiting Nurse Service of Westchester. This clinical was very interesting because you get to work with all kinds of people. My classmate and I were allowed to perform complete nursing care on our own for our patients. We were both assigned to one patient each and had the opportunity to provide nursing care using – more... our own judgement, knowledge, and experience. It was a great learning place because you were solely responsible for your patient and their care. – less

CHS is bottom line driven and depends a lot on contract workers but does not treat them like employees
Technical Project Manager (Former Employee), Nashville, TNJuly 29, 2012
Pros: compensates contractors well
Cons: treats contractors poorly
I worked at CHS on contract and was successfuly however I had to overcome the culture of indifference towards contractors. While they are dependant on contractors to meet project needs they do not treat contractors like employees. Management concetrates on meeting deadlines and being on budget and on time but do not make the effort to source projects – more... and stay within scope. – less

Easy going work environment with pleasant co-workers and administration
Central Scheduler (Former Employee), Bethlehem, PAJuly 5, 2012
Pros: management very flexible and will work with your schedule to make any necessary arrangements.
Cons: constant sitting and overwhelming data entry procedures that are essential to perform job duties.
I enjoyed this place of employment because the employees were always allowed to ask for extra training classes and always had a "go to" person for any work rewuired and sometimes non work required task. Breaks were given if needed for personal emergencies, employees are allowed to talk to administration in open forums at designated times if necessary – more... and all employees were treated as equals. – less
