Community Residences is a leading regional non-profit organization that provides community-based programs and services to individuals with mental retardation/developmental disabilities, mental illness, physical disabilities and people who are homeless. Now in its 30th year, CR operates 37 programs and provides comprehensive services to more than 1,100 individuals and their families annually in Virginia and Maryland. The Warren G. Stambaugh Memorial Foundation was established in 1991 to honor the memory of Delegate Warren G. Stambaugh, who served in the Virginia Assembly from Arlington for 17 years. Throughout his career, Delegate Stambaugh fought for the rights of persons with mental and physical disabilities and for services and opportunities to assist them.
