Compass has a family atmosphere.
Behavior Specialist (Current Employee), Silver Spring, MD – April 24, 2013
Pros: my work schedule is the best, because i can work at the gaylord during the day.
Cons: my salary.
A typical day for me includes bed checks, giving medications and developing new ways to minimize the amount of behaviors on evening shift.

What I learned is not to underestimate the ability of the intellectually challenged individuals that we serve.

I am not in a managerial position at this time.

This job is not hard at all.

The most enjoyable part – more... of my job is seeing my clients have fun. – less

3rd Chef (Former Employee), Charlotte, NC – April 11, 2013
Pros: five day work week, great benefits, paid holidays, vacations, and summers
Cons: takes a long time to move up.
Getting in early, preparing food for children all day. Learning to execute large lavishing parties. Management was pretty good, and the co workers and I became great friends. Hardest part of that job was picking up other peoples slack. The best part were the kids and the faculty.

Cashier/Food Service Worker (Former Employee), Smithfield, VA – March 20, 2013
Pros: room for advancement
Cons: lack of business causing a lay-off
my day starts of with opening the cafeteria and setting up for breakfast. I learn how to multi task with serving and cooking on the grill. We all strive to be team players because there was not a lot of us. The hardest part of the job was lack of help. I loved the people I worked with.
