Great Customer base with diverse opportunitities. Poor manipulative Management
Enterprise Solutions Analyst (Former Employee), Dallas, Texas – September 19, 2012
Pros: diversity
Cons: management
The diversity of products and services and support of Account Executives was very interesting.
Upper Management was not trustworthy and very ego centric with lirttle to no respect or regard for the knowledge of long term "Senior" employees. Middle Managers that were great leaders stifled their beliefs to protect their positions

One Great Company
Lead Technician (Former Employee), Pensacola, FL – September 17, 2012
Pros: great work environment, suppoert of managment staff
Cons: very early start times (ie. 3am to 5am depending on the location and day of service).
servers. The management at CompuCom was always available to assist with any matters that came up - even at 3am.

On this contract our day started at either 3,4 or 5am and even at that early hour, reaching the helpdesk, supervisor, Project manager, recourse manager or travel was never a problem.

This job required a lot of travel, and CompuCom's in-house – more... travel department made making or changing air, hotel and/or car rental reservations quick and easy. – less

Temp Perspective - I was often asked to go outside my current project, and my schedule was difficult.
Level 1 Help Desk (Temp, waiting for full hire) (Former Employee), Bentonville, AR – September 4, 2012
Pros: good people, fellow geeks, decent pay
Cons: corporate is disconnected from low level, management responsibility issues, unclear on ettiquette
My schedule was difficult, 4/10, from 4am to 3pm. Was let go due to end of project and bad health. (I was seriously sick for 2 days, fever, the whole nine yards. Project was over next week, so they dropped me immediately. I mean, its not like I have bills or anything.)
My job was to be the middle man for techs to put in tickets with the corporation – more... for which we were performing a project. I was a glorified gopher.
This is not how my job was originally described to me.
There were times when we were slammed with calls, and often, later in the day, we had nearly no calls at all. Multiple projects were starting as this one ended.
I was included in company meetings describing how well the company was doing, and asked of I knew anyone else who might apply. Then, I was let go, and bear no hard feelings on the matter towards the office where I worked, but corporate needs to pull their heads out of their butts.
Was a temp through accountemps. They don't have any customers OTHER than CompuCom for technology. – less

Learned every part of my job and tried to learn other jobs in turn. management noticed my eagerness to learn and rewarded me with 2 promotions from the warehouse to printer repair.

I would like a position with a company that has a secure future, and that there is an opportunity for trainng and growth within the organization.
Computer Technician (Current Employee), Memphis, TN – July 22, 2012
Pros: co-workers and customers
Cons: secure company, advancement opportunities. benefits
In a typical day, I may have to go to several customer sites, and troubleshoot what the issue is on their system.
Maintain an inventory of most used parts to assist fixing customer system.
Manage multiple customer projects at one time, with a team of temporaries.
Continually identify areas of improvement and cost reduction for all projects/customers.
Continual – more... training and updating of my skill set.
I am the type of person that genuinely enjoys working with customer and co-workers. I pride myself on building relationships. My customers have always been the most enjoyable part of my job.
While there are many things that I’ve learned from management, one of the most important I’ve taken from this position is to always listen to the customer and help resolve their issues as if it were one of your own.
The most difficult part of my job is the company I’m working for is not certain it is going remain active in the Memphis area. – less

Okay
AutoCAD Technician (Former Employee), Washington, DC – July 18, 2012
Pros: working with my team mates, the work facility, and the outlaying facilites allowed for a change of pace
Cons: having to visit outlying facilities and dealing with the city's traffic, commute, lack of advancement and climate of position uncertianty.
Limited advancement and being that the contract was a new one for the company they were still learning the customer and accessing the work load as well as new employees. The climate of position uncertainty from management as they were reviewing the positions, roles, and work load.

Hard work, weak compensation
Field Service Tech (Former Employee), Pittsburgh, PA – July 17, 2012
Pros: excellent coworkers
Cons: dive bars offer better pay
There is no room for advancement in this company. There are no pay raises, and promises of bonuses continually prove to be false. Do not expect to be paid a normal salary for an IT job. At CompuCom, you will be paid much less. If you're lucky, you'll get a 25 cent raise after 5 years.
