Computer Technician/ Network Administrator, Linthicum Heights, MD - January 7, 2013
Typical day was opening the classrooms up for the day, turning on any and all IT equipment, fixing issues in the classrooms per instructors needs. I scheduled and signed laptops out for classes that needed them. Installed software per instructor requests. Deleted software and profiles off computers and shut down all equipment for end of day. I had to re-image computers and laptops per government guidelines and baselines. I kept accountability of all IT equipment within the facility. I oversaw a successful wireless upgrade for the building. My co-worker had no common sense whatsoever. I always had complaints from instructors regarding his work and his people interaction skills. Consequently, I always had to go behind him and correct the issues that he made worse. Other co-workers in the building were always talking negative about people and their work. There was a major drama issue within the entire facility.
