Great place to be
Intern (Database development) (Former Employee), Gilroy, CA –
Even though I only interned here for a couple months it was a great place to be and I learned a lot. I was even able to stick around for a few days and finish up a project that I was working on.

Conagra
Sanitation & Pest Program Manager (Former Employee), Milton, PA –
Pros: excellent pay
Cons: need to improve sanitation program.
Conagra was a tough assignment. Quality Management, Corporate, Engineering and Safety were among the best I have ever encountered but I could not come to an agreement with Operations on how my role affected theirs.

Great people and many oportunities
Maintenance (Current Employee), Iowa –
No day is ever the same so it is difficult to summarize. I learned a lot about the food industry. Management was for the most part good. My co-workers were excellent and very eager to help when needed. The hardest part is the time commitment. The best part is the people.

Great Company, Poor Location
Associate Packaging Engineer (Current Employee), Omaha, NE –
Pros: high responsibility, emphasis on technical competencies, good work enviroment
Cons: location, omaha, nebraska, slow promotions
Great company to work for. Work life balance is great, Management is for the most part great, but can be hit or miss depending on department.

ConAgra gives their employees a lot of responsibility and trusts them to do the job they were hired to do. Overall great corporate culture.

Average/below average compensation and benefits. The biggest negative – more...  is the location, Omaha Nebraska. – less

Consistant work
Instument Tech (Former Employee), Russellville, AR –
Pros: i could trouble shoot anything they had, familair with equipment.
Cons: i was the most experiance, not many opportunities for training, it was given to lower level employees.
I would be on the production floor waiting on machine b reak downs or troubles. I learn to be flexable to work without supervision and with different personality types.
Management was pretty hands off, to me.
The hardest part of my job was finding information on the equipment and staying up with current technologys.
I worked with these people for over – more...  seven years and we became family – less

productive and fun place to work
Machine Operator (Former Employee), Garner, NC –
Pros: working with good people.
Cons: plant closing.
Start a day of work about 5am, set up for slim jim cutting, making boxess and set up the machine. tThere were five people on a line, one person cutting, two inspect and packing, one doning paper work, and one stacking the finished product on the pallet. The hardest part was making production. The most enjoyable was making production. Management was acceptable.I – more...  learned a lot about working well with others and making production as easy as possible. – less

Productive Envirnoment and a Great Organization
Logistics Coordinator (Load Planner) (Former Employee), Schaumburg, IL –
Pros: being able to implement your own style
Cons: na
My typical work day was to create shipments and tender to carriers, communicate with customer service and the warehouse. Expedited shipments and create multi-stop shipments.

I learned which mode of shipping is required for ConAgra Foods product via truckload, Refrigerator trailer, rail or intermodal.

Management was the best. The management team was – more...  open to suggestions, were willing to assist when needed and treated everyone equally.

Co-Workers were like a family from home. Willing to answer questions and share knowledge.

Hardest part of the job was being trained for 1 week and having to plan on my own after one week of training.

The most enjoyable part of my job was the closeness our department had and the williness to help one another. – less

Fun Fast Paced Environment with Employee Focus
Client Support Specialist (Former Employee), Omaha, NE –
Pros: room to grow, employee focus, great people
Cons: high stress, management may not have tech background
I started this position as an intern with no technical experience. They taught me how to work in a fast paced high volume helpdesk. To troubleshoot technical issues and come up with a resolution. I learned to love fixing technical issues and the varied challenges that they present. They gave me the opportunity to grow and learn and to thrive.

Worked at safe steady pace.
EMT/First Aid (Former Employee), Oakdale, CA –
Pros: allowed the oppurtunity to be my own boss.
A typical day at work for me was to ensure that safety procedures were being followed and corrected for the safety of all employees.
I provided work equipment for all employees. Applied first aid to all work injuries. Logged daily reports of each work day. Logged each industrial injury. Walked through the plant for safety observation.
I enjoyed this – more...  job. – less
