Received this job through Roth Staffing so job security was the only issue. Worked in the treasury department so paying close attention to detail was very important. This was something I was very good in doing.
CONS: Cons are pretty solid, and much of the company is great!
That said, the community team are a great group of people, but there are some much needed in roads that need to be made with working collaboratively with the Marketing Team. Ego, and personal politics get in the way with content going out in a timely manner as well as providing growth and opportunity from the top down.
Ironically, the company's core values of: Check Your Ego at the Door, Breathe Innovation, and Your Voice; Your Company are left at the wayside or Big Egos, Doing What Has Always Worked, and Stifling Creativity.
Zero training on company products in place or outlined and it's essential to the job.
A LOT of politics and personal agendas and grudges get in the way of a meaningful dialogue. Don't expect any kind of help with issue resolution of any kind regardless how far up the chain you go.
Hope you enjoy sugar beverages, because you'll be expected to drink the Kool-Aid regularly.
ADVICE TO MANAGEMENT: Review the company core values. No seriously, go back and review.
In case you missed this one: CHECK YOUR EGO AT THE DOOR.
Provide actual training, outlined and adhered to.
Brainstorm with other departments and keep the lines of communication OPEN.
Drop the cliques and personal cheerleaders.
Great company, great benefits, competitive pay, free lunches
Personal politics, Inflated egos, no training, zero help in issue resolution
The entire company is designed to get you excited and hopeful. You will work 60 hours a week and then chastised for not working 65. They hang the carrot over your head and promise riches. After a few years of the same policies, the only remaining employees are the ones who have fully bought in to a life in the office, or the ones still looking for exits.
Tier 1 & 2 Technical Support/Customer Service (Former Employee) – Tampa, FL – February 16, 2016
ConnectWise is great overall. But the company is expanding rapidly while keeping the workforce the same size, or even in some departments downsizing. It increases the workload dramatically, and often mandatory overtime is required for weeks or months at a time. The company does its best to keep everyone motivated and happy, but the personnel shortage is a real problem.
Management is mostly great, however, favoritism definitely exists within the departments. In that regard, it's hit or miss. If you happen to land under an awesome manager, then everything will be as good as possible. But if you're placed on a team with a manager you don't get along with, you will NOT have a good time to say the least.
Great place to work. Good management. Fast growth. The company treats employees very well. Pace is fast and no day is ever boring. The company is growing quickly and sometimes it feels like processes are lagging behind a little.
