A typical day at work would be attending meetings (up to 5 daily), maintenance during "job changes" (preparing a production line for a different product run), repairs to faulty equipment, ect.
I got a better insight into the bottle-manufacturing industry.
The management style was very authoritarian. Line management dodged accountability for poor decisions made by themselves (always tried to "pass the buck"/find someone else to blame. this culture was practiced in all disciplines).
The hardest part of the job was being blamed for failed projects that I was not involved in and then directed to fix/correct these problems under adverse conditions without causing a stop in production.
The most enjoyable part of the job was effecting successful upgrades to systems to improve production and reduce production downtime.
