Unsafe trucks & yard conditions.
Dispatch & management did very little to insure their employee's could safely,effectively & efficiently to perform your daily work duties.
Very poor communication between salesman,dispatch & the contractors,which caused mistakes & unnecessary work for the yard loaders & the delivery drivers.
The company put the customers needs above the emplyees, so having to miss breaks,lunch, bathroom did & will happen. Your break times will be on your time card if you take them or not . They were not that concerned about this or letting make up the time after the fact.
Any moving violation are paid by the driver so with the older fleet of poorly maintained trucks,the overloading of the number of deliveries
materials oversized or overweight & the scheduled returns added to your route with your deliveries made it exstremely hard to secure the materials .
The busy months were 50 to 60 hrs per week, As soon as it slowed down you were quickly cut back to 32 hrs per week or less . You were told they would give you 32 to keep benifits in place. Just like the monthly safety meeting,plans to undate the yard & logistics, purchase different vehicles, hire more drivers ???
Unfortunately it never happened
