IT Finance Business Analyst
Location: Menlo Park, CA
Duration: 6 months with multiple extensions
Preferably local candidates who can attend F2F interview
The financial functional lead serves as a liaison between the technical staff and business user community, with a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. Works with users to identify and specify complex business requirements, then calls upon a deep knowledge of Oracle EBS to deliver application design, module configuration/setup, acceptance testing, and End-User training.
Complete technical architecture design, logical design and technology strategy
Work as a business partner with client users to evaluate / improve business processes and arrive at mutual, cost effective solutions
Translate challenging business requirements into solutions leveraging standard Oracle functionality in the most current releases of Oracle EBS
Perform configuration and setups
Ensure deliverables are tracked and delivered to the project schedule
Mentor in-house technical resources on Oracle EBS system
Lead business process evaluations, requirements-gathering, system analysis and design activities
Collaborate on design decisions on business solutions and processes on Oracle EBS
Engage multiple stakeholders to ensure a successful rollout of business solutions
Work with external consultants to ensure quality deliverables that meet standards
Act as Oracle Financials EBS Subject Matter Expert
Work closely with application development managers and integration resources to build integrated solutions
Monitor production to identify candidates for long term application improvements
Perform other duties as assigned or necessary
- Financials modules expertise must have: AR, GL and OM.,
- Financial business background strongly preferred
- A deep understanding of Quote to Cash, Revenue and General Accounting processes.
- Must have experience implementing custom solutions that are integrated with Oracle EBS, specifically involving order, fulfillment, billing, returns and revenue processing.
- Familiar with SDLC and required deliverables for each phase.
- Experience with Informatica , Vertex ,or Aria a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
Proven history of successful problem solving with strong sense of ownership and urgency
Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills
Strong Interpersonal and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment including the ability to work collaboratively with business users, IT staff and various levels of management.
