All the above about culture, collabotation, work/life balance, staff, nice gigs are great - but sounds like it was written by the management team.
The real problem is the business model for the magazine and website is not working. So management resorts to layoffs or bullying people to leave. They then rehire for the positions less than a year and a half later. On the surface they're pleasant - that is except for one or two or three of them. Under the surface they hire and fire just like any company. Turnover has been significant.
Terrific staff, Building is nice, free parking, great cafeteria, on site gym, great parties
Product is becoming irrelevant, Senior management does not know how to fix the problem, Turnover high, Unhappy staff.
