Challenging but fun work place
Security Guard Officer (Former Employee), 2154 west 19th st, torrance CADecember 15, 2014
A typical day at work would be checking tickets or helping customers on where to sit or answering regular questions. What I learned is how to have a positive outlook on things even when they are not good. My co-workers were friendly and nice and helpful. The hardest part of the job was dealing with people who didn't want to follow the rules. The most – more... enjoyable part of my job was getting to see football games for free. – less

Not A Good Employer
Event Staff/Security (Former Employee), Landover, MDDecember 3, 2014
Pros: security expereince
Cons: exterme weathers, dealing with fights, part time
CSC is a event security company where you start off making $10 per hour while only working for events, this is a good part time job in the fact that it only something you do once in a while. However, the company is not something you want to do for a life time since you are basically low paid security.

A 40 dollar check isn't worth it.
Event staff (Former Employee), Indianapolis, INNovember 15, 2014
Considering the responsibilities that are given to employees, an end check of just 40 is not worth it.

Pros: you choose when and where you are deployed.
Cons: company infrastructure not solid
I enjoy working for CSC for the most part, however; the internal operations and communications is seemingly indecisive and lacks organization.

Great experience
Event Staff (Current Employee), Fitchburg, WIOctober 29, 2014
Pros: flexible hours and enjoyable events
Cons: informing guests of restrictions can be uncomfortable.
Calling in weekly allows flexibility with scheduling. There is no pressure to work at any point; however they are always happy to see you when you do schedule an assignment. The most enjoyable part of CSC is the people you work with and the guests that are excited to be attending the event. They are always communicating opportunities to increase your – more... pay including further training. Meetings are generally relaxed and open. Serious issues are communicated on a personal basis therefore nonthreatening. – less

Hours are flexible
Event Staff (Former Employee), Atlanta, GAOctober 13, 2014
Pros: hours flexible
Cons: this is not a job to live off of, unless promoted to a full time position.
As an Event Staff, you are considered on-call, which you can call in and request to work an event. If you have another job, this is a good way to earn some extra income. Working some venues you may get to see some celebrities. Working as an Event Staff, you may not work with the same supervisor every event so its difficult to build a relationship with – more... them. – less

Very negative work experience.
Event Staff (Former Employee), Dallas, TexasOctober 10, 2014
Cons: long hours. poor pay. withholding paychecks.
Company and management are incredibly unprofessional. They withhold paychecks due to their lack of organization. If you call to speak with someone and they do not like what you are asking them, they will hang up on you.

Customer Service (Former Employee), Nashville, TNOctober 10, 2014
The best and most enjoyable part of the job was greeting the customers at the gate of a TN Titans football game. Being able to put a smile on their faces as soon as they walk into the gate was a goal that I accomplished.
I learned that a simple smile can go a long way and you can turn someone's day around with a small gesture and/or compliment.

Amazing Experiancing The US Open Event
Us Open Event Security Officer (Former Employee), New York,NYOctober 1, 2014
Pros: interacting with tennis, seeing famous people
Cons: short breaks, long standing periods
A Typical Day Working A The US Open Was Mostly Standing Around. I Learned How Enjoyable And Amazing Tennis Is. The Hardest Part Of The Job Was Standing For Long Periods And Not Able To Sit Down. The Most Enjoyable Part Of The Job was Seeing Different Areas Of The Stadiums. Didn't See Co-Workers Much Because Of Being Moved To Different Areas Often.
