Finisher, Reliever, Fork Lift Operator (Former Employee), North Baltimore, OH – January 28, 2015
Pros: we were rewarded many times with company picnics, christmas parties, meals, and attendance prizes or gifts.
Cons: too many lay-offs, unable to earn a 5 year retirement mark, i was laid off permanently twice
I enjoyed my role at CSP as finisher, reliever, and fork lift operator. I liked the shifts I worked having worked all three.
The most enjoyable time for me at CSP was the last year I worked there setting up an area for use after I would become laid off. I was able to work with the engineer and my coworker. We took inventory, helped salary order inventory, assembled parts, ordered equipment, trained other employees and were given opportunities to work with contractors and salary to come to common goals.
Unfortunately, without the security of employment, multiple lay-offs were one of the worst things I can say about the job.
Quality Control Inspector (Former Employee), Huntington, IN – March 19, 2013
Typical day consisted of looking at and measuring parts. Making sure they are within guide lines. When I hired in to CSP I already knew what the job needed. so I really just refreshed my memory from previous job. Management was pretty cool when they was around. Usally they would be helping someone else since I have a strong grasp on my job. I had good co-workers on the most part. Everyone has their days. Ya deal with it and move on. Wasnt really anything hard about the job. Enjoy the since of doing a great job and providing the best parts we can give the customer.
Utility (Former Employee), North Baltimore, OH – March 5, 2013
Pros: get to help everyone in the plant
Typical day for me was a utility person was to make sure all my press operators had the raw material to run the order. Also to make sure my finishers had the right product to sand out and flaws in the product to be shipped out to the customer. the coworker made it fun being there. The worst part was the supervisors.
