Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist (Former Employee) – Plant City, Fl – June 10, 2015
Upon arrival I would prep for the day by printing out my daily schedule and make sure all needed charts are pulled. Open up the ancillary lab and be sure all machines such as the EKG and spirometry are turned on and in working order. Then, I open up the exam rooms and make sure supplies are amply stocked up. I would bring back the patients as they arrive, do their vital signs and get their chief reason for the appointment. After the doctor sees them, I would do any blood work that the doctor wanted, perform any in office tests like EKGs, and give them their prescriptions that the doctor wrote out for them, put in any referral requests, and schedule their next appointment.
