I worked for B.I.M.C. for a little over 6 months before I left. In that time I worked for a practice that announced they were closing 3 weeks after hiring me. Then I went thru hell and back working for another department, so I finally found enough sense to cut my losses and go back to my old job.

Do no see a hard part of job, but see challenges which are expected in an emergency room .
The most enjoyable part is seeing new cases each day.

The hospital staff is good, but can't understand Administration allowing such poor IT Management. Do not work for IT.

They believe in longevity but they don't let you spread your wings

Nightmarish bureaucratic regulations. Constant bickering among staff. Would especially discourage R.N.s from applying here. Psych is the worst department- downright dangerous conditions.

Prepares and submit claims to various insurance companies wither electronically or by paper. Identifies and resolves patients billing complaints. Processes payments from insurance companies and prepares a daily deposit. Verifies patient's eligibility and insurance carrier. There is always a fire drill there. Everyone is disoragnized, culture is very bad. the tone is set from the top. They are losing alot of good talent. People are resigning everyday.

Working the graveyard shift has it's perks. Nice night staff who gets the work done. Hardest part of the job, the hours. The time flies, especially when it's busy, but it's the night hours and weekends. The Best Part - Meeting different people.

A typical day at work, begins at 9 am. We at Continuum work as self-starters, working from a worklist assigned to you. All Representatives are required to do 40 claims per day, and work them to receive resolution.

At Continuum I've learned persistence, and a lot of patience. My management try the best to their knowledge to resolve any issues that a – more... Rep may have. Co-workers at Continuum are typically very helpful.

Resolution sounds easy enough, however when one is expected to get money from a hard pay master, that's when the task at hand becomes difficult.

Learned a lot working for a great team of scientists. Company offers great benefits and compensation.

Typical day at work includes checking the e-mail and phone messages and respond back to clients asap. Checking results and making sure the doctors received their reports in time and without errors. Addressing any issues. Then, hitting the road to visit the accounts and address whatever needs they have. Come back to your computer to check the status – more... of lab results/reports: whether they are properly transmitted to doctor's offices and troubleshoot if they are not. Make calls to IT department to fix any software, communication issues, make calls to the main laboratory regarding different specimen issues (not receiving specimens, or mislabeled specimens, mix-ups of any kind, etc.) and address the issues by communicating back to clients.
Help the billing department by gathering and providing any missing billing information.
The most enjoyable part: flexible, gives you independence, variety of duties

Depends what dept you work for but many complaints here due to corporate indecisiveness.

Busy and fast paced but makes the day go faster. The patients and families are are very appreciative of what we do for them. It makes you feel good when you helped them.

Poor condition, management very sneaky, incompetent supervisors. Nurses and doctors also complaining for poor salary payments.
