Converseon was born through communications innovation.
Formerly the Innovations Group at a division of one of the world's largest marketing communications organizations, Converseon became fully formed and independent in 2001.
We recognized early on that the digital environment was fundamentally transforming communications and that traditional agencies were ill-prepared to effectively engage. Instead of trying to morph an old business model into a new one, we recognized it would be more effective to "blow up" the model and start from scratch.
So we asked ourselves a basic question, if we were to create a new communications agency, without any preconceived notions, that was designed to leverage the changing ways individuals found, gathered, synthesized, shared and acted on information, what would this agency look like? We decided there and then it would not look like any of the organizations we had previous experience with.
This new agency would bring together the best of technologies, ranging from search to Conversation Mining to affiliate marketing. It would help companies "listen" in addition to "talk" so as to engage in authentic and effective "conversation" with those who mattered most.
It would bring together the best search engine technologists together with senior communication experts, business strategists, bloggers and content and creative types drawn from the various disciplines - direct marketing, public relations and online marketing world - to forge a new entity that would bring new and innovative communications solutions to clients.
This is the model on which Converseon was formed.
