Great benefits, Terrible workplace
Assembler (Current Employee) –  Bloomington, INApril 20, 2016
The benefits were great, but the management was terrible. They were rude and treated us poorly. The work was easy, but there was never any challenges or advancement in the workplace.

Custodian/Janitor (Former Employee) –  Bloomington, INApril 18, 2016
Cleaned offices and restrooms. It was a night job. The best part of the job was the people I worked with although there was favoritism.

Typical place to work. You show up and do things such as cooking, prepping, and cleaning. You leave to go home and make money.

Working in a Cafiteria
Culinary Arts Trainee (Former Employee) –  chicagoNovember 25, 2014
my dream job. over all cooking and serving, and helping people is something i enjoy. I was just a trainee, in a culinary arts program in job corps. my typical day started off with lunch and dinner prep, cleaning, serving, and at the end of the day, i prepped for breakfast. i learned how to properly clean, how to properly measure, serve safe training, and work based learning. Management was awesome, and so were my coworkers. The hardest part of the job was keeping my optimism. I just wanted to do so good, when i forgot something i really beat myself up for it. because i'm so passionate. I enjoyed everything about working in a kitchen.

Great Seafood at a Great Price
Manager (Former Employee) –  Fairhaven, MASeptember 30, 2014
The owners of Mermaids had been in business for over 40 years. They were successful and had gained quite a following. I was responsible for payroll, assessing beer and wine quantities and ordering from beverage companies, food ordering, bank deposits, cash handling, customer service, as well as weekly advertising.
Pros
the owners and the customers.
Cons
watching the owner who had cancer work harder than 95% of the staff.

Great benefits and perks but the starting wages are low.
Production Worker (Current Employee) –  Bloomington, INMay 31, 2014
In production the stress factor is low, and I have a complete understanding what is expected of me. Employees who are interested can be cross-trained. In most departments management are approachable and knowledgeable in their given areas. My co-workers are friendly and easy to get along with. The hardest part of the job is getting promoted from one level to the next, unless you know the right people. The most enjoyable part of the job is working with a diverse group of employees.
Pros
great perks and benefits;clinic and on site fitness center
Cons
low starting wages and slow advancement rate

Packager/Loader (Current Employee) –  Bloomington, INNovember 7, 2013
Great place to work if you're eighteen years old because it will take you at least 15 years to make any real money. Benefits are good. Advancement doesn't illustrate equality.
Pros
good insurance
Cons
a degree means nothing but who you know does

I inspected medical products for any defects prior to them being shipped out. The pay wasn't great when I worked there and there was little advancement opportunities but that's been many years ago.
