Very clique-driven
AP Data Entry/Processor (Former Employee) –  Auburn, INJuly 9, 2016
Financial Shared Services is horrible. If you're not placed in the back near the managers and suck-ups - forget it, you won't be staying. High school/mean girls club atmosphere, minimal training (if any), management is basically non-existent. Companies need leaders to produce/train quality employees and I didn't see anyone who cared to or knew HOW to lead this office. If you work after 4:30 pm during DST, be prepared to work in the dark because the lights go out automatically. Good luck, you'll need it!
Pros
Nice building
Cons
Pretty much everything else

Long work hours and worked 7 days a week for 12-13 hrs
Machine Operator/Assembler (Former Employee) –  Goldsboro, NCJune 27, 2016
I really can't add much about the job except the long work shifts 12-13 a day 7 days a week, with no day off and working on holidays.

Only had 30 minute lunch break and one 15 minute break and if you requested anytime off, you had to wait at least 2 weeks for approval.
Pros
lunch breaks
Cons
long work shifts and short breaks

There is no management per say here. The employees/union run the factory. Its like working in high school all over again.

Good people to work with.
Packer (Former Employee) –  Goldsboro, NCFebruary 11, 2016
Fast paced environment. I learned a little about the extrusion process. I learned how door and window seals are made. Management was stern but fair. My co-workers were helpful and fun loving people. Not so hard but there was a lot of dust to clean off the machines throughout the plant. I loved learning something new and show that i am a reliable employee.
Pros
Free popcorn every third Wednesday. Being paid for the whole shift.
Cons
Maybe healthcare.

Great Money
Machine Operator (Current Employee) –  Goldsboro, NCNovember 25, 2015
Cooper Standard is a great money opportunity job. Which pays weekly and the start off rate is $10.00 an hour minimum. There is alot of overtime that don't include your regular 9 to 10 hour shift. There is training but very little due to fast past environment. Its everyone job to practice safety on the job as well as off the job. Co-workers has good awareness and always wear safety gear. The hardest part of the job is working in very hot area. The most enjoyable part of the job is making more than your goal so that you can be rewarded.
Pros
the pay is great, work is not s hard, alot of overtime
Cons
very hot areas in the job

Are able to work a lot of hours and make a lot of money
Operator (Former Employee) –  Gaylord, MINovember 25, 2015
The reason why I left is because the company had change the hours worked for the shifts. I was not able to work the new hours. Other then that it is your typical factor. Work hard and never get recognition.

Hot and Busy
Operator (Former Employee) –  Rockford, TNOctober 1, 2015
A day at Cooper Standard is on your feet all day, working in a very hot environment on a machine. You can learn something new there everyday because you are sometimes put on different machines depending on which you are good at. Management could of been better. The co-workers for the most part are ok to work with. The hardest part would probably be the heat and standing for a full shift because my feet and back would be killing me.
Cons
Heat
