very hot in the summer ok in the winter
supervisor (Former Employee), rockford tnJune 26, 2015
Pros: good supervisors
Cons: bad management
over see the molding department as a supervisor they were all ways changing molds over due to poor planning then they would blame you for the slow change overs. New manager came in and it was his way or they got rid of you. he let go of a lot of good people the he was let go and no way to get back in.

finisher (Current Employee), KYJune 20, 2015
Pros: few suppervicers work with you on things that conflicts home time such as overtime.
Cons: always getting looked down on, can never make the department manager happy no matter how good you do, its always about cooper no matter what you got going on at home. its cooper or the high way!
cant never do a good job. they always changing polices to work in there favor. once you can make production on a job that's if you can because they got it set to high, they make it even higher when you reach there set goal

Quality Control Inspector (Former Employee), Oscoda, MIJune 13, 2015
Pros: good pay
Cons: lay offs often and not communicated well.
All in all cooper standard is a typical factory type experience, good for young employees to see if factory style work is for them, long hours lay offs often.

Machine Operator (Former Employee), Oscoda, MIMay 18, 2015
Pros: Paid breaks, good pay
Cons: forced weekend work, forced overtime
Cooper Standard was a bright positive place to work. I enjoyed the co-workers and the availability to make more money in less time. The "parts per hour" availability pushed you to work better and faster to get more money and help the company at the same time.

You work as a team at Cooper Standard. People often helped each other out and management had a positive attitude!

Cleaned, inspected and operated hot mold machine. I learned how to work in a manufacturing setting. Management was fine just made sure everyone on the floor were producing parts. Co-workers were very helpful in getting me trained and caught up to others quota.

Associate Program Engineer (Current Employee), Auburn Hills, MISeptember 15, 2014
Amazing work environment along with great management that works along with you in order to obtain your best performance.
Flexible work schedule, ideally you should be in the office during usual office hours but working from home or out of office is easy to arrange.

Good place to work
Extrusion Operator (Former Employee), Mount Sterling, KYAugust 21, 2014
Pros: pay, benefits
Cons: sometimes poor communication
The job was good, like any other you will have bad days and good days. The pay was good and the benefits were excellent. Management had issues communicating with each other which usually left team members not knowing what was going on.

DO NOT WORK IN FINANCIAL SHARED SERVICES!
Accounts Payable Coordinator (Former Employee), Auburn, INMay 9, 2014
Pros: excellent benefits
Cons: below average pay, no room for advancement
Working in Financial Shared Services was unbearable! The AP Manager has no AP experience. The supervisors never have time for their employees. Their doors are always shut. They are only there to kiss the Director's butt. The work was okay, but there is absolutely no room for advancement. The pay was below average, but the benefits were excellent. The company needs to realize what a mess FSS is and do a complete over-haul of that department, starting with the director.
