Horrible Place to work at
General Laborer (Former Employee) –  Rancho Cucamonga, CAOctober 18, 2017
Typical day consists of cleaning out vehicles in each row of about 14 cars outside in the hot sun. Management doesn't care about there employees and will punish them for whatever reason they can find. Employees are okay, not everyone is friendly and will talk behind your back. You're promised a position and never end up getting the position and they have you working that position for the same rate pay as a general laborer. Management micromanages employees and harasses them to work overtime. Wouldn't recommend working here unless you wouldn't mind Drama, getting sun burnt, micromanaged, under staffed, poor management, and harassed to work overtime.
Pros
Free food sometimes during the year, gift cards
Cons
Poor Management, Poor Culture

Good company, terrible management at Salt Lake location
Inventory Specialist (Former Employee) –  UtahOctober 13, 2017
The Salt Lake location was run more like a military installation than a company. The AGM was kind of a d**k, and didn't treat employees with respect. I'd definitely recommend the company, just not the location.

TITLE CLERK (Former Employee) –  Florence, MSOctober 8, 2017
This is a racist company if you are African American. You are treated differently. You do not want to work here. They change managers like they change clothes.

Dispatcher (Former Employee) –  Jacksonville, FLOctober 5, 2017
Great core values. Many options to relocate and for advancement. Salary is competitive and benefits were reasonable. Good training available, and cross training in other departments was welcomed.

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  New Britain, CTOctober 4, 2017
Management is very poor, uses gas lighting, back handed comments, listens to all phone calls, GM swung baseball bat at 4:55pm around office full of women-wants you out at 5pm on dot no matter volume of workload, would pit people against each other in a very toxic manner. I would NOT recommend working at Copart at all. Benefits are good and you work inside, only pluses.
Pros
benefits
Cons
Everything else is horrible-worst managers i have ever worked for. in my life. Toxic environment.

Poor leadership, indecisive managers
Manager (Current Employee) –  Los Angeles, CAOctober 2, 2017
Most of the managers lack leadership skills. There is also a constant atmosphere that your job is in jeopardy, goals are set which are unrealistic and often made to be unattainable. Upper management has lost touch with the specifics of running the daily operations of the facilities, especially the larger sized ones.

None
Cons
Everything

Stressed and overworked
Inventory Specialist (Current Employee) –  Haslet, TXOctober 2, 2017
The job is easy but yard 98 is very unorganized and the management and leadership is terrible. They are understaffed and make you do as much as you can possibly do. So you will be stressed and get burned out. They don't give you the resources to do your job right, and good luck asking management for any help. Worst place I ever worked for. They have a high turnover rate for a reason. I do not recommend this job at all unless you get an office or loader position. Also there is no room for advancment, and they only give you a small raise that's hardly worth it after a year. Avoid this place
Pros
The job is easy, they just make it hard
Cons
Poor management, long hours, unorganized, no room for advancement

DMV Title Clerk (Current Employee) –  Sacramento CA 95828September 18, 2017
There is plenty of no stop work, job security due to vehicle are always in accidents/disasters. Sometimes its overwhelming, the work load. Work life balance is difficult due to the work load, its Coparts policy the work load gets finished by the end of the day. We work ALOT of overtime which is good for the wallet, but not good for life balance.
Pros
plenty of work, overtime
Cons
long hours, minimual work/life balance

Office Manager (Former Employee) –  Grand Prairie, TXSeptember 18, 2017
Started when I turned 18, worked my way up. Traveled for the company, met many awesome managers. The work is hard, and stressful, but what job isn't? ABility to move up is always there, even with no college background as long as you hit the ground running and have the mindset to outshine everyone else. Great place to work.
Pros
OT was abundant due to CAT's, Growth

Worked 7 mos.
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Dallas, TXSeptember 11, 2017
I was only there 7 months because I was laid off. I enjoyed the job and they had just recently added a commission for units sold. The company at the time owned 80% of the land for their salvage yards and seemed to be run very efficiently. I liked it, but was disappointed I had to go. They did have a Copart Day at Six Flags complete with a catered bar-b-q meal for all Dallas employees. All expenses were paid including the meal and entry.
