Core Solutions, LLC was founded by Jamie Howe Pittman in April 2005. Jamie is a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant and is certified in Pilates through STOTT pilates and Pilates Academy International. She has been actively involved in rehabilitating the special (injured) population for over ten years, and has been training in Pilates since 2004. Jamie – more... received her AS in Physical Therapy Assisting from Becker College in Massachusetts, and her BS in Psychology from NOVA Southeastern University. Throughout her career, Jamie has attended a number of continuing education workshops based on Pilates, and movement therapy techniques.
Immersed in the profession of Physical Therapy in an assortment of medical settings since 1998, Jamie's involvement with various patients, diagnoses and injuries sparked her interest in Pilates. Many of her patients suffered from a lack of postural awareness which later led to injury. Through Pilates she found a form of exercise that focuses on postural alignment while performing controlled movements to strengthen the body. Her continued interest in the mind and body led her to follow her passion and receive her certification as an instructor in the Pilates method. Currently living in New York, Jamie is the founder of Core Solutions, located at Maxim Health and Fitness in Williamsburg Brooklyn. Her involvement in the rehabilitation field has contributed to her particular interest in working with clients who require special attention with postural alignment, muscular re-education, and reduction of pain.
