Merchandiser/ Trainer (Former Employee) – Forrest City, AR – January 18, 2018
You typically work by yourself as a Merchandiser. At one point we used to get paid .42 cents per mile, which is great when you're driving 200+ miles per/day. After new management came in it was cut to .10 cents per mile. A big stretch when you are using your own vehicle you have to maintain. What once was a great environment to work in became a nightmare! Beware...
Driver (Former Employee) – Smyrna, GA – January 14, 2018
This company does not tell you everything in orientation. You are not really a local driver because they have you driving over 300 miles a day to deliver. They dont tell you that you can get robbed and they will fire you for it. Management sucks, and they talk to you like you are nothing.
Low pay (especially for the industry) but you get benefits. Lots of work. Always something to do. Not a job for most people. Hence, many come and go. Would not recommend this to most people. Merchandiser position quality of job may be very different from the rest of the company.
Delivery Driver (Former Employee) – Salt Lake City, UT – January 11, 2018
Core-Mark was a tough place to work. They don't pay hourly and when I did the math I was only making on average about 11 dollars an hour. They will have you sign something if you make mistakes in order to legally fire you so they do not have to pay you unemployment. So don't ever sign anything. It would be a lot better if they would work people in pairs. But they do not.
each selector (Former Employee) – Fort Worth, TX – January 2, 2018
worked at this fort worth divison for x amount of years and ive never felt more over worked and under paid in my life, too much favortism and gossip. the night shift supervisor is arrogant and only cares about saving his own behind and not about the empoyees. if you love being over worked and under paid core mark is the place for you.
Client Relations Specialist (Current Employee) – Las Vegas, NV – January 2, 2018
The company is an okay company to work for. They provide okay support from management and they are very generous with giving out snack food to employees. They are not generous with paying their employees a living wage. They provide a maximum of 3% for a raise on a yearly basis which only works out to $.25 extra.
Manager (Current Employee) – Arkansas – December 20, 2017
Core-Mark seems to be a good place to work once you start. However, it doesn't take long before the discrimination starts and acts of racism are noticed. Management date and have relations with warehouse employees openly and it accepted. White people are privileged and the rules are often bent for their lives. The company needs a complete overhaul.
Route Driver (Current Employee) – Panama City, FL – December 10, 2017
Great upper management. Fair but firm leadership. I have been treated great and the pay is above average. I work out of a satellite office, I am given my route the day before and I am not bothered by upper management unless something is wrong. Would recommend job to anybody.
Sales & Development Representative (Current Employee) – USA – December 5, 2017
The division of the company I work for still operates as a small family owned business. Technology and communication are major issues here. No CRM software for sales activities. Reps have to provide their own laptops. Company slow in providing necessary equipment to be fully effective in the job. Health benefits are decent, but you have to wait 90-days before receiving them. Also, you start to accrue vacation after your first 90 days.
Worst communication pathological lying and backstabbing management
Employee that speaks their mind (Current Employee) – Portland, OR – December 5, 2017
Management tries to get you to do things that are unethical unsafe and when you don't do them you're now the black sheep and they make your job harder or they'll just fire you management talks behind employees backs makes fun of employees this company is full of harassment theft and no one says anything about it don't you try to speak up you will be terminated their food is not the temperature that sends out bad product I've never seen so much product walk out the door of any company I've never seen as such poor managed facility
