Great Working Family and Atmosphere
Architectual Intern (Current Employee) – Dallas, TX – July 22, 2012
The firm has been ranked numerous times as one of the best places to work, and they have it right. Happy hours in house every Friday, free meals once a week, ping-pong table, free lectures, Toastmasters, Sketch Masters, etc. The office has a large number of young professionals making it a fun and upbeat atmosphere. With 300+ people across the country and multiple departments there will be differing opinions on how each particular area functioned. With that said, in the Aviation division the projects are long and stressful. Excessive overtime without compensation and never ceasing deadlines burned out many people (including myself). With a huge project and a difficult client the office does with it can, but in the end people repeatedly do the same tasks for years. There is professional growth and upward mobility in the company but in the Aviation division that will take 2 to 3 times longer than any other division.
free lunch and lectures, after hour events each month, happy hour every friday, internal competitions, volunteering opportunities, social networking, etc.
long hours, stressful deadlines, limited growth
