Cornerstone responsibilities and work environment
Secretary, Olympia, WA - March 20, 2013
As the Secretary of Cornerstone Church, I oversee the daily office operations. My duties include answering phone and email inquires in a timely manner, composing the Cornerstone weekly and monthly bulletin, managing their website, handling project requests on an ongoing basis, maintaining church scheduling and events calendar, counting weekly offerings, sending out quarterly giving statements to the congregation, maintaining employee files and purchasing office supplies.
I have greatly enjoyed working at Cornerstone because my co-workers and supervisors are the greatest group of people I have had the pleasure of working with. They are caring, hard working individuals who strive to make a difference in the community. This job has been satisfying because I enjoying working with the public. One of my greatest strengths is my ability to relate to the customer while still maintaining a business objective. Cornerstone has given me many invaluable skills such as, launching and managing their website. I wish this job was full time with benefits, but unfortunately Cornerstone is a smaller church and is unable to provide this for the secretary position at this time.
