It's my daily routine to check emails so I can immediate reply those that are of utmost importance. Then, I organize and plan the things to be done for the day. My job includes answering calls, attending to walk-in visitors of my superior. Most importantly, I see to it that before the business ends daily, I crosscheck that I did not miss any issue for the day.
In my long years stay with Maaden, I learned how to enhance more on planning, organizing and I further developed my management and problem solving skills. With this, I can say that management depends on you how to control not only people but things that you encounter daily.
A positive workplace culture affects workers' productivity. Hence, a company management should see to it that all aspects should be given a balance attention, such as work life balance, compensation and benefits, career advancement of staff, and management style.
The hardest part of being an admin support or executive assistant in the workplace is that, you will always be the "shock absorber'. Since there are things and issues beyond your control, it is inevitable that blame are thrown out to you.
The enjoyable part in my role is working with a superior who knows how to recognize my contribution, appreciates, criticizes constructively, and an open-mindedness person.
