Once you get your foot in the door its a great opportunity for a career, unfortunatelyn do to cuts job security is not within CDCR for new employees.

Great work atmosphere, there is alot to learn within the department and there is opportunity there to learn everything. It gives you an idea of all the positions that are available withing the department of corrections field and there is help available to get you started in the direction as far as a career with the department.
