When I was employed here I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I got to help low-income people enroll their children into the Head Start program, and also help those families find assistance in other ways. I was in charge of helping families set goals like going back to school, and help them fill out things to advance their goals in the right direction. My co-workers were great to be around, you could tell they loved their jobs, teaching children and educating families.
The hardest part of the job was having to let a family know that they were not eligible for the program. I learned how to empathize with people without becoming too closely involved in their situation.
