Sinking Ship
Supplier Documentation Coordinator (Former Employee), ColumbusMarch 23, 2015
Pros: health insurance, 401k
Cons: unethical leadership, incompetent management
This company markets itself as a Private Label Beverage Manufacturer, but the reality is that they are struggling to regain momentum in the industry as a Co-Pack manufacturer. When I joined the team 2 years ago, they had recently acquired Cliffstar ( a juice manufacturing company). However, they terminated many employees who had the knowledge and capabilities to do the job. My heart goes out to the people who still remain and try to work through the sludge of a mess that they have on their hands. There is no organizational management, and most people have been there 18-20 years, just waiting it out until retirement. The leadership at the company is struggling with unethical and immoral practices. Unfortunately the HR Manager in Columbus was pushed into position from a Consumer Affairs and dry cleaning background, and does not have the necessary skills or training to be effective. The company paid for her to go to school and receive training...but she is an entry level beginner, at best, and does not have the background to aid the company as needed. My advice to anyone looking to work here, is get in, and get out as soon as possible. There is absolutely no room for growth or advancement, so your expectations need to be very low to succeed here. They are operating in an extremely limited environment and have not made the necessary technological advances needed to prosper in the global marketplace.

Cons: frustrating, no job security
management staff has no respect for their employees at all, no communication, follow up, feedback unless it is negative. No real direction long term, always changing direction before giving ideas time to work.

not the most innovative place..can be better
sanitation (Former Employee), texasDecember 2, 2014
Pros: can be ok at times
Cons: money, benefits, hard to move up, and some other stuff..
job can be enjoyable at times, fast paced and have to learn new things really quick. Managment is not the best, many of them have a man type of mentality. Its hard to move up if your a woman no matter how hard you try. They dont give very good raises if any, because of "limited funds"; Yet they still purchased a big water company for over a billion dollars. Were not asking for a huge raise, just remember whos working hard to make you that money.

QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN / SUPERVISOR (Former Employee), Glen Mills, PAAugust 14, 2014
In this position, I managed nine QA Technicians and five Sanitation Technicians. I reviewed their time punches, scheduled their hours, both weekly and weekend. Calculated daily production yields, interacted with corporate if there were samples run in the plant. Managed water systems, reviewed records of testing, and equipment maintenance. Weekly complaint summaries and investigation, weekly SQF reviews. Ordering of laboratory supplies and management of equipment calibration records.

Columbus ga Cotts Beverages needs to do better.
Worker (Former Employee), Columbus gaJune 3, 2014
Cons: doesn't believe in hiring woman's in the warehouse.
The work environment is great. If you are a permanent employee . Otherwise your just wasting your time. Their are ladies that have been with this company as a temp for 3+ year and the company won't even consider them as being a candidate for hire. What a shame. I wouldn't support or be a buyer for this company .....

Tough industry but great place to work
Supply Chain (Former Employee), Tampa, FLFebruary 20, 2014
Pros: free drinks! nice people and management
Cons: tough industry and business challenges result in positions being eliminated on a regular basis.
Cott is in a very competitive industry but is a great place to work with many friendly, hard working team members. Associates have a lot of freedom to do their jobs in the way they feel best, and the opportunities to learn and grow are tremendous. Business model requires low cost to be a big priority for the company, so comp and benefits will be limited unless you are a top performer. Positive thing is top performers are recognized and rewarded!

Going under fast as the result of poor leadership.
Corporate Office (Former Employee), Tampa, FLFebruary 17, 2014
Pros: some good professionals who shared the same work ethic and ideals.
Cons: pretty much every negative thing you can think of at a job.
What a horrible environment the Tampa corporate office is. Aside from the fact that it's structured like a call center (all open, no cubes) I personally witnessed or experienced bullying, nepotism, and cronyism. Execs and Sr. Directors as a rule talk down to subordinates and have no respect for people and no communications skills. Just a miserable place to be every day even when you get paid decent. There was little regard for improvement or best practices in any segment, just an attitude of "don't rock the boat" and keep the gravy train rolling. Looks like the train is coming off the tracks now, no surprise. Take a job here only if you have no other options and are desperate.

Work
Warehouse/Production (Current Employee), Maryland Heights, MOFebruary 5, 2014
Pros: free soda while at work, and breaks
Cons: slow schedule getting laid off on a weekly basis
A goood place to work. Type of an environment that subjects to high pressure and speed of tasks. Picked up on several new and inventive ways to handle product in inventory as well balancing out loads for out bound trucks. The decline in the sodapop industry leads me to opt for the possible demise of my position, thus looking for career changes and challenges.
