Print Coordinator/ Facility Operation Assistant (Former Employee) – New York, NY – July 29, 2017
I worked here for over 9 years. If you are in the facility department they expect you to be in for any type of weather condition. When i first started we were covered by weather climate. A few years later i was told that in didn't apply to my department.
Senior Finance Manager (Current Employee) – New York, NY – August 3, 2015
It has an excellent benefits package, including an onsite GYM and wellness room. However other compensation is below market. The organization has constant growth in foreign policy research; most employees stay with the company an average of 2 years.
Event Operations Associate (Former Employee) – NY – February 4, 2015
My typical day consisted of many various duties. It changed depending on the event schedule for that week. Some events were small functions with a more private feel, while others were large and more complex. I had to work with every department at CFR to help them with whatever was needed for their event. I worked with V.I.P's in the Douglas Dillon room attending to them before they went on stage to speak, I provided everything from food and beverage service to helping direct them throughout the building and taking care of their things/providing any information/materials they might need. I often had to provide any food/beverage set up/ removal, direct any waitstaff working events and clean up/ wash any dishes and CFR equipment used throughout the day. Management was very helpful to me, they taught me about being in the Events Department and the care required in organizing and presenting CFR events. I really enjoyed the people, and there were several great perks. MY job was difficult because it encompassed several different jobs and duties, and it was sometimes unclear where the line was drawn with what was required of me, but overall it was a great experience.
