Very demanding physically and mentally. You aren't paid hardly anything, they do not give raises even with exceptional performance reviews, and cost of benefits kept going up. You always felt like your job was on the line because they rely on state funding to opperate and they were always threatening to make massive budget cuts. Fellow employees were mostly very nice, helpful, and understanding. Managers were not. There is a lot of gossip and backstabbing between management and employees. They let really hard working people go because certain employees felt threatened by them. It's a shame but it is worth it to feel good about your work at the end of the day and see what a difference you have made everyday.
