Founded in 1934, the Contra Costa County Bar Association (CCCBA) is a 1,600+ member voluntary bar association. It currently consists of 6 operating departments, along with 18 practice sections and 21 committees and taskforces. The CCCBA is an approved provider of Continuing Legal Education, operates a Lawyer Referral Service and Moderate Means Program for Contra Costa County, an Attorney-Client Fee Arbitration and Mediation Program, an Attorney-Client Relations Program, and administers The Bar Fund. CCCBA also assists the County Superior Court by providing volunteer mediators for their Fast-Track ADR programs and encouraging member participation in a number of volunteer bench programs.
The Contra Costa County Bar Association's Mission is to represent its members and to advocate on their behalf; to educate its members and the public concerning the law, the legal profession, and the judicial system; to facilitate communication both among its members, and between its members and the public; and to provide services that will support its members in their legal practice.
