Fulfilling work with a lot of opportunity
Employment and Training Specialist I (Former Employee) – Santa Rosa, CA – September 17, 2015
You begin your day checking voice mails, alerts, and processing urgent applications or documents. Your morning will consist of either an application (depends on composition) you might take 1-3 hours. If you don't get an application you will be working independently on other cases that need to be passed. Your afternoon looks much the same. On average you get 1-2 cases per day and must pass as soon as possible (timelines/deadlines are very important). You will process on some days homeless assistance, emergency TANF or CF, and enroll clients in the CalWORKS program. Most of your duties revolve around granting and passing cases form your interviews.
Great co-workers, room for growth, fulfilling work
long hours at desk/interview rooms, not a lot of flexibility
