Delivery driver (Former Employee), Orlando, fl – May 27, 2014
Pros: nothing, they steal your money
Cons: the worst and unprofessional company to work for
If your new they gonna send you to ocala with the worst routes where there is no signal everything is new you out in nowhere, worked for only one day, was supoussed to make 20 stops, but could only make 16 ( i already explain the conditions) turn out to be in money 63 freaking dollars from 6am to 7pm when i get home that day.
On payday i was hoping – more... at least to get some money but this company is so terrible that they deducted everything, from drug test ( that they dont even mention on the hiring process) to all those insurances they make you choose at the begining to only steal your money, as a matter of fact i owe them money.
The worst company to work for independant contractors!! Dont ever choose COURRIER EXPRESS! You will regret it! – less
I/C (Current Employee), tampa fl – January 29, 2014
Cons: pay no benefits
I have never seen a more disorganized company. The Tampa office is were I work. I have been with them for about a year as a I/C No one seems to be held accountable for anything they do or say. The pay system is a joke. I have tried to figure out my pay, but can't do to the fact no one can explain it to me. EXAMPLE : The company will have you deliver – more... a 300 pound box for $ 1.45 some 60 miles away When you ask management about the $ 1.45 low ball price you get the runaround. then you call The Orlando office where the payroll is and get more of a run around. Needless to say I stopped delivery 300 pound boxes for that kind of money. Maybe in other parts of the country this company is good, just not down here in Tampa Florida – less
Independent contractor (Former Employee), Marietta Ga – October 22, 2013
Pros: working for yourself, home daily
Cons: not enough consistent work.dosen' t cover expenses.
"DON'T DO IT" Independent contractor, you will not make a profit unless you have the best routes-which are probably already taken. Should you be fortunate enough to get one, more senior drivers are allowed to poach off of ur route for stops that pay the best. DO NOT go out and lease a van just for this job, you won't make enough too cover the note. – more... 600-1000 a week? Your lucky if u make 500. To be fair Courier Express is not the only predator out there. – less
Good place to work inside the warehouse.I cant speak for the drivers.
Warehouse Associate (Current Employee), Charlotte, NC – October 15, 2013
Pros: 2nd shift. great co-workers
Cons: part time
I work with a good group of guys so it makes the job a little easier. The management at Courier Express is pretty good. They seem to be on top of things when we need or run out of supplies. The hardest part of my job is probably setting up to get started. After that we're pretty much on a roll. The most enjoyable part of my job i would have to say would – more... be the conversation we have while working. We get a little laugh in,it actually makes us more productive and the time moves a little quicker. – less
