To provide a resource in markets where expansion is expected due to growth. Also, this position will serve as a potential candidate pool for future territory openings.
Territory Development Representatives (TDR) will be assigned by Area to specific territories in which there is significant potential for converting and growing business. These representatives will support initiatives in tandem with assigned Account Representatives.
Additionally, Territory Development Representatives may be required to work outside primary assignments as required by business conditions. This position does not guarantee a future territory assignment.
The job description and profile for Territory Development Representative candidates are the same as that of Account Representatives.
Education required/ preferred: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience: Minimum 2 years field sales experience
Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Excellent understanding of vendor, distributor, hospital supply chain management
Skills/Competencies: Excellent written, verbal skills; ability to develop and present complex business reviews/presentations.
Other Skills: Ability to gain support and communicate with all levels within Covidien organization.
Key elements are flexibility and the ability to work independently and/or in partnership with an assigned Account Representative and Regional Manager. Potentially heavy travel (up to 90%) associated with this position (varies by assignment).
