The Personal Lines Producer is responsible for prospecting, quoting, selling and
placement of Personal Lines Insurance, including Home, Auto, Umbrella, Boat, RV, Motorcycle, Life, Disability and Long Term Care insurance.
This is a sales position requiring great communication skills and the use of various computer technologies. Proven ability to generate new customers and close sales is required.

Responsibilities and Duties for the Personal Lines Sales Executive:
Develop and implement a detailed marketing plan including the sources of new prospects (Private Client Bankers, Real Estate Agencies, Title Agents, Trust Companies, Financial Planners...) and strategies for projected results to meet income and production goals.
Market and sell new Personal Lines insurance policies that meet the standards of
the agency and its carriers.
Collect detailed risk and underwriting information necessary to pre-qualify
insurance prospects; verify limit and coverage adequacy; quote; complete and
Develop and present proposals of insurance including details of coverages,
limits, deductibles and other pertinent information to close sales with prospective
Understand and follow Personal Insurance Department procedures and
Understand and use the Applied Online agency management information
system, any related 3rd party software, and insurance company proprietary web based
systems to submit, manage and document all client transactions.
Keep informed regarding technical insurance information, market trends, agency
technology, company information and other operational matters to insure that all
knowledge about the sales process is up-to-date.
Foster and maintain good working relationships with insurance company
Understand and follow all insurance company underwriting guidelines.
Understand and comply with all applicable insurance state regulatory insurance
Meet or exceed established cold calling activity, and sales goals in the annual sales plan.
Advise prospective clients regarding Personal Lines insurance coverage and
risk management issues to meet the standards of the Agency and its carriers.
Work in a team environment, developing and maintaining effective
professional relationships with internal and external “partners,” including all
agency staff, clients and insurance company underwriters.
Demonstrate a high degree of initiative.
Continue to improve level of professionalism through national designation
programs and related education, seminars, and/or training.
Maintain sensitive and confidential client and agency information.
Attend work on a regular, prompt basis and support all employee policies and
procedures, including workplace safety rules.
Minimum of 4 year college degree. College education or equivalent
insurance sales and/or customer service experience preferred.
Current Property and Casualty Insurance Agent’s license required.
Excellent sales and marketing skills, with at least one (1) year of successful
sales experience, OR proven ability to pursue and close sales.
Highly computer literate and effectively uses this tool to perform a variety of

Thorough knowledge of all lines of Personal Lines insurance, especially those
