About Crisis & Counseling Centers, Inc.
The agency's clinical programs operate out of six locations. The Augusta headquarters, which houses the main Crisis call center, the Outpatient/Intensive Outpatient department, and Administration. Four renovated houses located in Skowhegan, Waterville, Winslow and Augusta provide short-term crisis residential services as an alternative to emergency – more... psychiatric hospitalization. An additional mobile crisis response unit operates out of the Skowhegan residential unit. A separate Skowhegan office houses additional Outpatient/Intensive Outpatient services.
Approximately 20 Outpatient clinicians (including psychotherapists, substance abuse counselors, and psychiatrists) provide treatment of mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring disorders to more than 800 individuals each year. Services are provided in Augusta and Skowhegan. The Intensive Outpatient Program serves adults with high mental health and substance abuse treatment needs and the Differentiated Substance Abuse Treatment (DSAT) program serves individuals mandated to treatment in Kennebec County.
C&C is also the provider of integrated healthcare services at Kennebec County Correctional Facility (Augusta) and Two Bridges Regional Jail (Wiscasset)l, with a staff comprised of NPs, PAs with MD oversight, nurses and med techs, correctional care workers, and substance abuse and mental health clincians.
Crisis & Counseling Centers is home to the G.E.A.R. Parent Support Network, staffed by a fulltime Program Director and five part-time Regional Parent Support Coordinators, who provide services on a statewide basis to parents of children with a wide range of behavioral health needs. Services include phone support through a toll-free number and local support groups and trainings.
