Typical work day would start at 4:00 am and end at 4:30-5:00 pm. The job environment is nice and great co workers and surrounding people also. The joke is the GM and CFS policy. Don't ever think your going to get a Commission Check because those don't exist at CFS, only expensive cars and lavish vacations do but never enough money to pay hard working individuals the money they deserve. They nickle and dime their Route Drivers for everything as far as getting charged $50 for a so called "bad" service call. Which could be from leaving a machine unlocked to machines not being cleaned. They still charge you even if you fix problem yourself in a timely manor.
Don't ever ask for help because the GM will promise you help from either a manager or a route support personal but you will NEVER receive the help. Its a salary job, so no matter how long or short of time it takes you to complete your daily routes you will probably have to still wait for Kits to be done or your drink order to be pulled which is because the warehouse guy is off doing other things instead of pulling drink orders . They also will pretty much tell you that your coming back to early, but I'm sorry if I am doing my route correctly and getting back "to early" then I should not have to wait for my stuff so I can load my truck or be told by management that i need to stay out on the road longer. which I would warn other drivers to do because all that GM will do is add more to your routes and then be up set with you because now you cant get back in time. Also they have been known to Charge outrageous price to employees for damage to vehicles that have defective equipment and should never be allowed as a working fleet Vehicle. Two incidents had happen within my short period time I was there both relating to defective equipment on a fleet vehicle with Route Sales Personal.
The work environment is good and all your fellow route sales guys are nice and they all help each-other the best they can because they rather never have to deal with upper management. There are two current managers that are down to earth good guys and awesome to work under because they will do whatever in their power to make sure you do not fail and help you, but again their power only goes so far because the GM has to make final decisions.
The Health Care they offer is a joke, makes OBAMA Care look like the best option for everyone. When the companies own GM doesn't use the insurance you know it is horrible because not even him at his 50k + a year salary doesn't make sense to pay for it. 300+ a week which is 4x a month. $1,200+ a month for a family with high deductibles and higher co-pays. INSURANCE IS NOT A REASON TO GET THIS JOB, you will be working to pay health insurance not for a living.
They also don't agree on training someone properly to make it on the road, to do routine little things on the machines. (bottle jams, coin jams, ect. Because they want you have to 1) call it in and be charged, or have a "bad" call be called in and charge you $50. They are a very money hungry company which ask A LOT from their employees but doesn't return the favors when needed or pay their commission checks on a timely manner.
Hope this helps when deciding between jobs offered at CFS.
