My 15 years at this job was very rewarding and advanced several times from receptionist to Executive Assistant to the VP of Contract Sales in a year and 1/2. I enjoyed working with the VP and felt I was a real part of the team in the Houston office and other locations.
I worked to obtain work visas for several foreign countries for crew members and support team working on jobs in Angola, Mexico and Russia. I also enjoyed working out the logistics for foreign travel for all personnel in office on contract jobs.
I monitored incoming accounts payable invoices and made sure they were submitted with the correct coding for timely payments. I made sure that all contract jobs were invoiced correctly per the terms of the contracts.
