Receptionist (Current Employee) –  Holland, MIAugust 31, 2017
Awesome place to work! They are a family orientated business. Always helping out one another. Everyone is very caring, willing to help you succeed. Always room to advance in your career and learn new things.

Fun staff to work with, but ultimately, the business is flawed.
SALES REPRESENTATIVE (Current Employee) –  Tallahassee, FLApril 4, 2017
I love the employees I work with all the way up to the General Manager. Unfortunately though, the business itself is run with incredible flaws. Too many defective vehicles are being sold with little care for the customers. The pay/commission is at the very lowest level as well. The GM, cares and wants to instill a positive culture and build the company, unfortunately, the owner is only interested in immediate returns on his investments. Would love to work with this same group, just at a different business.
Pros
Laid-back culture, Great GM
Cons
No benefits, low pay, faulty products being sold

Pros
Professional management, great longtime co workers
Cons
Extremely small window for learning from mistakes in policy!

Decent dealership to work for, could be better.
Sales Professional (Former Employee) –  Redding, CAMay 16, 2016
Typical day, come in the morning wait around till the phone rings or someone pulls on the lot/do follow up to try and get a customer in. There is an appointment quota you have to meet every month. Lot rotation so every hour you need to be in a different spot. Management can be helpful, or could be detrimental to your car deals. Depends on the mood they are in.

Co-workers are the same way, can be helpful and take turns when you need help or they can drive difficult customers your way to make your job less easy. Depends on their mood and if they like you or not.

Hardest part of the job can be the hours/days you work. When you have to work the offsite sale and work 4 straight 13+hour days including 2 full days to move the cars all the way there and back it can be a little much. Getting 1 Tuesday off every two weeks can get you burnt out quickly. Having to work every Saturday can get old if you enjoy spending time with people on the weekends.

Sometimes if the manager doesn't feel like working with you, doesn't like your handwriting or how you did the write up then its bye bye car deal.

Pay scale can be alright if you are making a lot of profit on your deals. But making $200 on an $60,000+ car sale can make you feel a little jipped. The other thing is if you make minimum wage one pay period and then commission the next, they take what they paid you back out of your check. Which apparently is legal though seems like it shouldn't. So when you don't sell anything and make $600 in minimum wage, then make 850 in commission the next pay period. You get that 600 taken out,
more... and then taxed. So you can work a 90 hour pay period and almost end up owing the company money. That's not fun.

Get free lunch on the weekends so that is nice. Most enjoyable part can be the people you work with, if they like you that is.

Pros

Sales (Former Employee) –  Redding, CAApril 11, 2016
Job stinks but the money is great. Management was terrible. Hours are long and will kill most people due to heart and health problems. It is like a military boot camp.
Pros
High income
Cons
Management stinks only care about the stats

love working here. love the people I work with, good strong company roots, and great customer loyalty.

Lack of quantity of customers doesn't support the company's goal of growing in the service department.

Auto Detailer (Former Employee) –  Holland, MIAugust 24, 2015
A typical day would consist of washing and vacuuming new and used cars in preparation for customer delivery, gassing up lot cars as well as loaner cars for customer use and other various medium labor task. This job has taught me organizational skills as well as how to pay attention to detail. Management is staff friendly and does not mind getting their hand dirty in order to help out. The co-workers are professional and easy to get along with. The hardest part of the job is making sure that every assignment is "perfect" when it is busy. However when it gets busy the time goes by very fast.
Pros
Hands on work.
Cons
High expectations.
