Position Summary
Employment Type: Employee - Full time
Work Schedule: 6:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m., rotating 4 days/week Monday - Friday

To assist the Tissue Processing Laboratory with general duties such as cleaning, aseptic transfer of tissue, sterilization of instruments, stocking supplies and unpacking incoming tissue.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning general lab area and processing areas, including laundering of laboratory scrubs and trash removal.
  • Washing, wrapping, and sterilization of laboratory instruments.
  • Transferring of supplies from central storage to lab storage.
  • Monitoring and recording equipment parameters.
  • Unpacking, labeling, and inspection of incoming tissue.
  • Preparing disinfectants, solutions, and intermediates.
  • Assembling of packaging materials.
  • Assist with the packaging and shipping of residual tissue.
  • Responsible for performing all functions within cGMP/ cGTP compliance.
  • Learn to perform the sterile and non-sterile duties of the depopulation treatment process.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent (also, exception high school students age 18 or above).
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable.
  • Capable of following instructions and working without direct supervision.
  • Good decision making and verbal communication skills.
  • Georgia Work Ready Certificate preferred.
