Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of special projects ensuring consistency, with company strategy, commitments and goals.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilites:
Provide project management leadership for IT system development and non technical projects.
Works with appropriate customers to develop project scope of work documents and project plans that include an analysis of benefit, cost, work schedule and any related risks.
Works with business users in collecting requirements and leads the project team to consensus on outstanding issues.
Assisns, schedules, trains, reviews, and monitors project work to ensure that progress is within expected guidelines and is completed on time and within budget. Mentors and provides expertise to other project teams members.
Works with appropriate stakeholders to identify the roles of project team members, project reporting structures and frequency of interaction and any training requirements that may be needed for a team member to complete a project.
Identifies, tracks, monitors and communicates project-related issues, scope changes, variances and contingencies that may arise during the implementation of projects.
Facilitates amicable solutions with the appropriate stakerholder(s).
Maintains effective communication and working relationships with stakeholders and project team members.
Develops review schedules, audits and acceptable tests for each phase of a project.
Prepares and presents oral and/or written technical reports and project presentations.
Organizes and conducts project team meetings.
Education and Experience:
4 years of direct work experience in project management capacity.
Knowledge of project managment techniques and tools
Experience managing software development projects
Additional Desireable Qualificaitons
Considerable ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and customer representatives.
Considerable knowledge of and ability to utilize Word, Excel, and Exchange
Formal Project Management Certification (PMP)
Proficient in project management software
Critical thinking and problem solving skills, decision making, communication skills, influencing and leading, planning and organizing, team work, delegation, negotiation, conflict management, adaptability, and stress tolerance.
