Working at CSI Companies

CSI lures in candidates with the promise of a great position. Then once you come in and complete a 2-3 hour application process you discover they really do not have the position that was advertised. The reason for this is the recruiters must meet a certain quota for applicants in the office. They are not ethical and discriminate. Also, there is a complete lack of follow-through and accountability. If you are looking for a staffing company that looks out for your best interest, this is not that company.

How to explain CSI Companies... employment is a complete roller coaster. You feel as if you have earned the job from the get go, completing a thorough interview process and job shadow day (which they expect a suit to be worn at all times at even though you are walking business to business to solicit business on the shadow in the Florida heat). However, you quickly learn that you were filled with false hope and empty promises. It starts with the promise of a company car, never ending commission, and opportunity for advancement. First off, there is absolutely minimal training involved in becoming an employee of CSI. You are put up in an office that is not located where you will be placed and will be given one week to learn the ropes. Though this is not hard in this business you are essentially wasting your time working out of market. 3 years later I have worked for two other staffing agencies and realized that proper training results in less turnover and more ownership in the company. I quickly rose from the ranks of being a rookie recruiter to being in the top two recruiters in the company. However, they fail to tell you that there is a horrible attrition rate in the company and morale is super low because of it. I worked there for about 6 months and saw nearly 10 recruiters come and go during that time. They prey on recent graduates because they know that they will not know any better when a recruiting company asks them to work 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Let me tell you this, it is true that you make what you earn and thats based on how much you work, but if you leave at 5 p.m. there you better expect to be looking for a new job asap. The problem with this is that employees come and go so often that it develops a low morale of the company, not just from those working there but also for the clients they have who see the revolving door of recruiters and account managers. The commission structure is lucrative once you reach the appropriate rates but the ramp up takes
