I worked as a Surveillance Agent at different properties within this career. I began in the tribal casino and than moved to Las Vegas, there I worked for Harrahs, New Frontire and Bally's. While working as a Surveillance Agent it was my job along with my co-workers to maintain integrity even outside of the workplace. I worked with very sophisticated CCTV equipment; ability to discover a card counter; monitor all money being transported across the casino floor; detect theft ; credit card fraud; embezzlement; cheating; scams; narcotics identification; detect known criminals in a data base designed only for the surveillance employee's, FBI and Gaming Board; we would conduct investigations; keep footage on known cheats until there was enough evidence for prosecution; keep a detailed log of activity daily; ensure the safety of patrons, employee's and property; worked at a console setting with assigned monitors and computers for data entry and other numerous tasks. Maintain confidentiality.
I learned a lot of positive and exciting things as a Surveillance Agent.
Management has always been on their game.
I worked well with my employee's. With this type of occupation people really need to mesh well.
The most difficult part about this type of work is knowing when its the end of my shift, I sometimes don't want it to end I have always been concerned I might miss out on other interesting activities.
The most enjoyable part about my job is conducting investigations
