Programming Intern Review
KFOG Intern (Current Employee), San Francisco, CAJanuary 10, 2013
I edit and post syndicated shows using ENCO and Adobe Audition. I work hand and hand with the talent at the KFOG radio station. I help produce daily shows for KFOG as well.

When it comes to editing, I have real-timed music and shows through Adobe Audition and ENCO.

Management has always been great since I have got there. They communicate with me daily – more... and lend a helping hand when need be.

The most enjoyable part of my job is hearing the shows I produce on the air. I also really like working with the pros in the business. – less

learned a lot about traffic...
Traffic Manager (Former Employee), Lansing, MINovember 13, 2012
Pros: meeting people who actually are on air
Cons: long days and pay could be better
Typical day at work is going in at 8 am: reconciling logs for the previous day or weekend depending on what needs to be done. Gathering all information needed to get the days work done. Co-workers are good people to work with. The hardest part of the day is not knowing when your going to be finished lol. The most enjoyable part of the day is knowing – more... that what you just scheduled thousands of people will he hearing. – less

Fun place to work
Account Executive (Former Employee), Albany, GAApril 18, 2012
Pros: remotes, music and fun
Cons: commission structure and instability with accounts
A typical day starts with webinars from corporate then daily reports and entering schedules into the system or recording commercials.

Then I set out to cover a portion of Southwest Georgia working with business owners in all categories.

I've learned a lot about the radio industry and how to reach out to the proper channels to make contact with the – more... decision makers.

Co workers were great! Good relationships and helpful.

The hardest part of this job is not losing site of potential clients. The going back repeatedly to close the sale when you've been told no or another rep has failed at closing the sale.

The most enjoyable part of this job is when I see a client that I closed actually seeing results from their advertising and giving me positive feed back about the experience. – less

Pros: nice staff
Cons: slow on ideas
Large company who is run like a small company. Nice people though, and great in mid markets.
