Just wanted to put myself out there for Q&A. I was a long time CVS Store Manager, and have recently left the company. Ask me anything.

What are the average starting salaries, bonuses, benefits and travel requirements like at CVS/Pharmacy?
What do you like best about working at CVS/Pharmacy? Are there any great perks or special treats for employees?

Working at CVS is rough. Right now they are cutting hours in the stores.Customer service has gone to hell and one person is doing the job of 3 people. they hire pharmacist the barely speak english Im just waiting for someone to end up dead because they can't speak or understand english. Our district just had a meeting the theme was The Oscars.CVS rented a hall had food brought in and for the big boys they rented them all a tux.But they cut hours in the stores noone to give customer service to the customers. When it is time for a raise it is 3%.Today the opening pharmacist said when he walked in the building it was 60 degrees. Im just tired of the crap and looking for a new job

Hi. I just applied to a Retail Management Trainee position with CVS. I wanted to know what are my chances of advancing to higher management positions if I am accepted and what positon will I start right now and what salary can I expect? I have 3 years of management and customer service experience in the hotel industry hotel and I have a BS degree in Health Sciences.
How many hours can I expect to work when I start and how long before I can obtain a Store Manager position?
Thank You

I just started working as a pharmacy cashier at Longs in Hawaii. Since CVS has bought Longs and all the changes have yet to be made, I'm not officially in the system so my hours have to be logged manually.
I have a lot to learn about working as a pharmacy cashier. But now that there will be some changes being made because of the whole CVS thing, I was just wondering how it's like to work at the CVS pharmacy as a cashier. Is everything efficient? I know that we'll be getting new touch screen computers and I was wondering if that would make things easier, like being able to bring up customers' information at our own register instead of heading over to a separate computer that's used specifically for that information. I heard that at other pharmacies, as soon as they get prescription drop-offs, faxes, call-ins, etc the typists put them in the system as soon as they are received instead of putting them in another line waiting to be typed up.
I hear lots about how CVS abuses their pharm techs so I'm really curious about what it's like working for CVS as a pharmacy cashier. Thanks!

Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at CVS/Pharmacy?
Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers?
What is a typical day in the life of an employee at CVS/Pharmacy?

What is your work experience like at CVS? Front store? Pharmancy?
What was/is your training? Does your manager or asst. mgr. work with you? what is the relationship like? Are you FT or PT? Do you know what your benefits are? Do you know what benefits are being denied you? Did you come to CVS with any prior work experience? how would it compare? Anything else you may add is welcome. Thank you.
