It was a fast- paced environment from the entry until the exit. I have learned to do minor mixtures, inventory, pharmacy billing and I have gained great customer service skills through it. It was a nice place to work, and there was great teamwork. The hardest part of the job was having a customer leave dissatisfied, but I truly enjoyed helping the customers.

A typical day at work involved meeting new people everyday, handling money, giving suggestions to customers when needed, promoting merchandise, and constantly changing from one activity to the next. I learned to better communicate with people. I also learned how to better manage my time.I was not fond of the management because their behavior and attitudes – more...  did not reflect the company's values and principals. I enjoyed working together with different people from different places of the world. I think the most difficult part of the job was having to learn to communicate to different people because people have many styles and ways of communicating. Management and co-workers were great. This job requires great people skills. Communication was key to success at CVS. Also working in the photo lab required some studying of photo machine’s operation and the chemicals used to process pictures. Loved working there but it was blown away in the tornado wanted me to drive well over 2 hours for work and it wasnt worth it.

Most of the time, I generally work at the front end of the store (customer service). I am able to get along very well while working here, but the problem is that when things get out of hand and I would need some occasional help, there would be numerous miscommunication issues. I've learned nothing more than just being around people and finding them – more...  very easy to get along with. The management are pretty cool and very easy to get along and work with, even though there are rare occasions when "snobbishness" take effect and they would make me feel "lower than dirt". The hardest part of the job is that I'm not learning anything else new if I really want to, because none of the managers really want to show me that. There's nothing really enjoyable about working at CVS. It is the most depressing place to be working there and the prospective employer would not want me to leave, especially when I'm getting overworked and underpaid at a dead-end job like this. – less

I worked and meet a lot of people, we worked hard and got the job done. Management was good in the store can't say the same for hire ups.

Performs activities as the result of having certain knowledge and skills. Screen calls, over the phone interviews, data entry into computer, cashier, Creating and updating patients health an insurance and maintaining workflow.

I worked for the company for 5 years. Horrible management, 6 cent raises every year, horribly run. Couldn't wait to get out. I even took a pay cut for a new job to get out.

WHEN CVS WAS TAKEN OVER FROM SAV-ON, A LOT OF THINGS CHANGED. THE WAY THE STORE IS RUN AND HOW THEY DISTRIBUTE HOURS TO COMPLETE TASKS IS VERY SPARCE.

If your ready to work CVS/pharmacy is the place for you.... The only problem that I can see that you stand on your feet so I recommend so comfortable shoes

Typical day at work is dispensing medication, solving insurance related issues with insurance companies.

Management a bit old school but if a person shows up on time and is prepared to work the job is a cinch.

I did my hands on training for Pharmacy Technician. I learned how to count the pills, generate labels, read prescriptions, restock the medicine shelves, and how to have complete control when handling upset customers. (Not that there were very many of them!)

The co workers are fun and always a busy day at work with no dull moment
