We have over 400 customers and have done this over 500 times for some of the world’s most recognizable companies, and are currently looking to expand our Strategic Account Management team to support and lead our growth.
Cynergy’s Strategic Account Managers are tasked with two primary objectives: developing and maintaining relationships with existing customers by expanding the number of opportunities with different divisions and hunting for new opportunities in companies where we do not currently have a relationship.
As part of this team, the Strategic Account Manager is the primary relationship face to the customer, providing consistency across projects and divisions, and developing a strategic foothold in organizations to protect against competitive inroads. We are also internal advocates for customers and work closely with the Inbound Sales Team and Delivery Managers to ensure the highest level of relationship and understanding across our organization.
This position requires 65% to 80% travel, as we believe the best way to create and maintain relationships is in a face-to-face setting and we are investing heavily in these efforts. At Cynergy, no one is on variable compensation, but rather benefits from profit sharing and quarterly bonuses based on company performance. Cynergy focuses on doing “the right” business rather than “any business” and will turn away business that is not a good fit or where the chances of success are extremely limited.

We are looking for proven success, familiarity with Value Selling, creativity in moving accounts forward and determination on a level that few possess.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
-Developing and maintaining relationships with existing customers, measured by customer satisfaction
-Identifying new opportunities within new divisions of existing customers and developing compelling events within those organizations if necessary
-Identifying and penetrating prospects to convert to a Qualified Lead and closing new business in these accounts
-Achieve, if not surpass, annual quotas
-Developing account strategies and plans, completing Value Prompter tools and forecasting time and revenue size
-Work with Delivery Managers to provide business context and relationship stabilization to projects underway in assigned accounts
-Other responsibilities as defined
Desired Skills & Experience
-Minimum 5-10 years of account management experience with Fortune 500 companies
-Deep understanding of a services business model and the challenges associated with these types of sales
-Understanding of the software lifecycle and some level of familiarity with web technologies – HTML 5, Hybrid Mobile applications (HTML 5 with Phonegap for Example), native iOS and Android applications
-Familiarity with or ability to assimilate quickly how to leverage thought leadership into the sales process and become a true business consultant for the customer
-Can demonstrate success at achieving or surpassing quotas while at the same time developing long-term, strategic partnerships with customers
-Ability to forecast add-on business, extensions and new business accurately
-Can demonstrate out-of-the-box thinking, creative approaches to developing business
-Passionate and focused on winning and being no less than the best and ability to work self-directed
-Excellent communication skills – writing, presentations, interpersonal skills
-Understanding of software development processes a MUST
-MUST BE detailed oriented
-MUST HAVE ability to travel 65% - 80% of the time
-MUST HAVE established rolodex of contacts
-MUST be able to aggressively handle an account load of 15+ accounts.
-MUST be able to demonstrate leadership qualities.
-MUST be able to creatively envision and execute complex account strategies
-Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing, MBA preferred
