Job was very tidious
Inbound Sorter (Former Employee) –  Jessup, MDSeptember 22, 2016
A typical day at work consisted of handling mail from start til finish. I learned that with hard work comes reward. Management was great but also a little high maintenance .My co-workers were a little lazy. Hardest part of the job was doing my work and then having to help others with theirs. The most enjoyable part was going home.
Pros
Learned team work
Cons
Shouldn't hire workers who cant get the job done, strict

Courier/Delivery Driver (Current Employee) –  Columbus, GASeptember 18, 2016
Low pay. Too many then too few workers. The job is very east to learn but the managers and sometimes customers makes it difficult. I would consider it a stepping stone to other employment. Just some experience. High turn over.
Pros
Not stuck at a desk all day
Cons
Very low pay. Management has no clue what actually happens in the field

The work wasn't very hard persay but the employees caused it to be worse
Anonymous (Former Employee) –  McDonough, GaSeptember 16, 2016
Okay well let's start this is the first warehouse I have ever worked at that was this unprofessional they have favorites in everything they do. Management recruits all there friends about 75% of the warehouse is related and/ or family. Then if you have an issue with anyone up there as long as there cool with the management you can basically kiss that goodbye. You have the older line leads hating on the new or younger line leads because they want to be young again, they gossip and spread drama and lies about co-workers like it's nothing. When they don't like you because your not from there area, and you don't engage in conversations that demean your fellow enployees you stand out and they keep targeting you. Whenever there's a problem and you report someone some of the employees team up make up some lies and brush your concern under the rug. When your the only one defending your point and there is 3 other people with the same lie you tend to get over looked. Although it's been be the whole time I've worked here it was one of the most humbling experiences.
Pros
It's a Job
Cons
Everything, Management needs to be more Professional and have a mind of there own

Driver/Laborer (Current Employee) –  Erlanger, KYSeptember 15, 2016
It's a great place for young people or students. It is very physical with a lot of lifting, pushing and pulling. It can also be very dangerous so it's very important to know your surroundings inside and outside of the buildings. You do have an opportunity to advance in the company if you desire. I actually work outside in the elements all year around. I've learned some destination codes. The co workers are pretty good to get along with. They have office positions also with first shift. I am seeking something more in the transportation and shipping field.

Lima , Ohio Great job for a single Guy/Woman with no kid's
Shuttle Driver (Current Employee) –  Lima ohioSeptember 11, 2016
Great job good people. Always getting mandated because they cant staff help. Pay is ok. But for working as a shuttle driver could be better. 12 hr days hardly anytime for family because they always run short staffed because nobody wants to live there...would be a great 8 hr shift job if they would do it. But they wont. Thats why they lose good help.... supervisors are just high paid baby sitters and come and go. They take all the responsibility for upper managements mistakes . They need to hire people and learn ways to keep them. So they dont wanna leave. Like letting them have there days off to be with family and dont call them on their days off asking them to come in. And if they are gonna always run employees into the ground get rid of the point system. Because a person shouldnt be punished for wanting time off to be with family 72-84 hrs a week a little too much
Pros
all the over time you want / monthly meals
Cons
too many hours cant keep help and work the litte help they do have into the ground

Operations Supervisor (Current Employee) –  Breinigsville, PASeptember 9, 2016
A typical day starts off with a motivational and informative pre shift meeting which shouldn't take any longer than four minutes. I have learned tons working with DHL for the five years I've been employed with them. My co-workers are great.

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Ontario, CAAugust 30, 2016
DHL supply-chain is not concerned with employees work balance or life for that matter. This company is run solely on meeting numbers, that is because the company has no product to offer other than the sweat of their employees. There is definitely room for "advancement" although it is not your typical advancement, Advancement at DHL entails that you will be taking on much more responsibility and accountability, but there will be no compensation, same money, more problems.
Pros
It's a job.
Cons
It is a third party logistics job.

Material Supply Operations Lead (Former Employee) –  Fairburn, GAAugust 28, 2016
A typical day at work starts a 5am and goes until 6pm.
There ia one 45 min break at 12pm. Everyday is mostly the same
where problem solving is key. The management team is ever changeing for good or for bad. Hardest part of the the day is the up and downs making deadlines when it is ouyt of your hands.
Most enjoyable time is making the customer happy and getting the positive feeder back.
Pros
Daily work
Cons
14 hour days. One 45 min break. No way to grow in the company.
