The Scottsdale facilities are going to be shut down by summer 2009. They will ask a few people if they want to move to the DHL Florida headquarters. They have been laying people off in phases to prepare for this. Most everyone will be let go by April/May
Customers are leaving DHL in droans as they are fed up with DHL. DHL is loosing over $500m a day. Had they left the Airborne people in charge vs. firing all of them, they would be making money today. The 'good old boys' club at DHL did a royal job of screwing up the integration of Airborne due to their greed and ignorance.

WHAT I FIND TO BE SO FUNNY AT DHL IS THE COMPANY IS LAYING OFF HUNDREDS OF FELLOW TEAMSTERS AND LOCAL 295 IS ALLOWING DRIVERS TO WORK CRAZY O.T. THEY SHOULD STOP THE O.T. AND FORCE DHL TO RECALL DRIVERS BACK. I SAT AT THE LOCAL MEETING AND NOT ONCE DID LOUIE OR HIS SO CALLED TEAM TELL US TO FIGHT BACK. WE NEED TO FORCE DHL TO TELL US WHAT THEIR ACTUAL PLANS ARE FOR US AND THE COMPANY. WHY ARE WE NOT PLAYING HARD BALL WITH THIS COMPANY. I REMEMBER WHEN LOCAL 295 WAS LOOKING TO RATIFY THE CONTRACT THE LOCAL MADE ARRANGEMENTS FOR A HALL ON HUDSON STREET IN NEW YORK TO ACCOMODATE ALL THE DRIVERS. BUT WHEN FELLOW TEAMSTERS ARE BEING LAID OFF WE HAVE A TOTAL OF 3 MEETINGS 1 IN CT, NY, AND NJ. THE LOCAL NEEDS TO STOP THE CRAZY O.T. AND CALL SOME DRIVERS BACK OR SHUT DHL DOWN TODAY.

A regional manager approached me today about a job in sales with DHL. Does anyone know what its like to be a sales person for DHL.
