Title: Graphic Designer/Customer Service
Designs and produces accurate, cost-effective, and creative print collateral materials that meet client needs and deadlines.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Proficient in using the following software:
Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro and PhotoShop
Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Publisher
Excellent professional visual communication skills, including technical aspects of design, layout, color, typography
Completes projects requiring one-, two- and multiple-color printing, bleeds, duo-tones and other photography treatments, screening techniques, paper selection, bindery techniques for clients
Identifies creative and/or brand issues that may affect client projects.
Organizes and prioritizes work to manage projects, complete all projects within assigned timeframes and contribute to team efficiency.
Acts as customer liaison, presenting a professional image and establish rapport with customers.
In conjunction with a Supervisor selects and plans marketing design strategies that align with branding for requested projects.
Designs and prepares accurate and timely print projects. Utilizes knowledge of typography, illustration, large-format printing and design layout.
Proficiency creating banners, signs, displays and exhibits.
Proven design skills that demonstrate flexibility and creativity.
Working knowledge of the print production process, including: multiple colors, screens, blends, bleeds, photographic treatments, paper selection and bindery.
Working knowledge of large format printing and exhibit/display construction materials including: adhesives, tapes, velcro, indoor/outdoor materials, foam core, mat board, gator board, coroplast and styrene.
Working knowledge of paper cutting tools and knives.
Excellent proofreading skills and demonstrated experience.
Proven ability to independently organize and prioritize work, to manage multiple projects and maintain a flexible schedule.
Ability to function in a fast-pace, multiple project oriented environment.
Experience working in a team setting with other employees and working directly with customers.
Excellent customer service skills.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
May be required to sit majority (90%) of the workday.
Must have functional sight and touch to use a computer a majority of the workday.
Exposed to normal office environment majority of the workday with occasional exposure to fumes and odors from developing chemicals and/or mounting sprays, with the potential for exposure to chemical and explosive hazards.
Must wear protective rubber gloves for use with chemicals.
Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
