– more... tables. Executing a busy shift is the most enjoyable part of the job. Getting between 250-300 guests sat and fed without issues and within a small lunch window with great rave reviews on both service and food means I'm doing my job correctly.
The hardest part of this job is finding the right people to hire and buy into the culture of the restaurant. A normal shift lasts 12 hours as the higher ups have eliminated a mid-shift manager so the opening manager usually stays through both lunch shift and the dinner volume in order to help out a short handed dinner shift manager. – less
